What to Expect

Filler injection procedures are performed in the office. Various types of anesthetic (topic or local anesthetic injection) are used, depending on the area being treated, to minimize any discomfort. Ice is applied to offer additional anesthetic and to minimize bruising. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Dr. Mathison performs all of the injections himself. The results are immediate.

Post-Procedure

Discomfort is very minimal and bruising occurs in about ten percent of patients. Any bruising is temporary. Swelling is minimal, except in the lips, where it may last for several days. Results are immediate and last anywhere from 9-24 months, depending on the area treated.
